Coachella 2012

Exactly a week ago now I was at Coachella, soaking up the sun and the over 100 degree temperatures, getting ready to rock out to Neon Indian. While the lineup of this year’s Coachella seemed weaker than the past Coachellas I have gone to, it proved to be one of the most enjoyable weekends and one of the best Coachellas ever. What follows in the post is a selection of my most mediocre photos taken of some of the best bands from this festival. Enjoy!

Above: Jarvis Cocker of Pulp giving what was, for many, a highlight performance from this year’s festival.

Below: The Notorious BIG makes an appearance courtesy of a great new technology as demonstrated by the Black Lips.

Above: Destroyer’s unique brand of soft-rock fits in nicely with extreme heat.

Below: The Big Pink rocks out in the Mojave Tent, the spot of many big name acts.

Above: Don’t mess with Anne Clark of St. Vincent. You’ve been warned.

Below: Miike Snow’s awesome music made it difficult to take any good pictures, so just be happy I got a clear picture of the jackalope.

Above: Radiohead plays “There There” all the way into the crowds hearts.

Below: A brief moment of calm in the craziness that was Justice.

Above: Florence and the Machine’s Florence Welch strikes a pose amid her theatrical set.

Greatest post ever. You lied when you said you weren’t into photography at all. You’ve got a pretty good eye for a professed amateur.
